I'm Emmanuel IK, founder of AutoTimegist and the editor behind its reviews, comparisons and maintenance guides. My route into this started under the hood rather than behind a keyboard — I trained as an automotive engineer, and that background still decides how I read a spec sheet. It is also why I would rather explain why a figure matters than simply repeat it: a 0-60 time tells you very little about what a car is like to live with, and a battery warranty tells you a great deal. Where I have driven the car, I say so. Where I am working from manufacturer figures or other outlets' testing, I say that too, and I link to it.
